Quit IntelliMate

This guide explains how IntelliMate behaves when you close, minimize, reopen, or fully quit it on macOS, and how to close the app on Windows.

1. Close the main window on macOS

On macOS, closing the IntelliMate main window does not fully quit the app.

You can close the main window in either of these ways:

  • Click the red close button in the IntelliMate window
  • Go to Window > Close or press Command + W

After that, the main window is closed, but IntelliMate keeps running in the background.

2. Show the main window again

If IntelliMate is still running and you want the main window to appear again, you can:

  • Click the IntelliMate icon in the Dock
  • Go to Window > Show Main Window or press Command + 1

This brings the IntelliMate main window back without restarting the app.

3. Minimize the main window on macOS

If you click the yellow minimize button, IntelliMate minimizes the main window instead of closing it.

You can also minimize the window by pressing:

  • Command + M

To show the window again, go to Window > Show Main Window or press Command + 1.

4. Quit IntelliMate completely on macOS

If you want to fully quit IntelliMate instead of only closing or minimizing its window, use either of these options:

  • Go to IntelliMate > Quit
  • Press Command + Q

This closes the app completely instead of keeping it running in the background.

5. Close IntelliMate on Windows

On Windows, you can close IntelliMate in either of these ways:

  • Go to File > Close
  • Press Ctrl + W

This closes the IntelliMate app window and ends the app session.
